Come and see what we have done! We are open!

So the doors are open and phase 1 of the refurbishment is complete.  The bar and restaurant has a whole new look and we are so pleased with it! We are still waiting on some of the new furniture to arrive (delays due to the obvious!) but we cannot get over how fresh, modern and different the area looks already!

Photos of the new areas are below but don’t just look on here, book a table and come and have a look for yourself!

The Conservatory

The current restaurant will be known as The Conservatory and will be place to meet friends, catch up with colleagues and enjoy our new brunch menu, light bites and coffee throughout the day and our new exciting menu by night.  New flooring and lighting in this area will determine a brand new fresh look and new seating and booths in the restaurant make for a cosier dining experience.

The Cafe Bar

Probably the biggest change you will see when we re-open is the introduction to a cafe bar area in the current front bar area.  Our new coffee machine will serve a large range of hot drinks and the cafe will serve an array of light bites, brunch, cakes and host our dessert counter.  More information and menu’s will be added as we near opening!

The kitchen will also become open so you will be able to see our talented kitchen team headed by Mark Swanton cook and serve the menu

The Coach House Bar

Currently the older side of the building, little will really change in here as we love the beams and features of the old coaching inn.  New flooring and tables high and low will provide the perfect place for locals and customers old and new to chat and catch up.  The Snug and Games Room off the bar area will again have new seating and can also be used as small meeting rooms if needed.  The bar will continue to serve local hand pulled ales, world renowned wines and a large selection of spirits.  The big live games will also be shown in here on as many as 5 screens!

Lapwing Bar & Restaurant

The current function suite will be opened up to create an open plan area from the moment you enter.  A large bar area will host a moon shaped bar serving a room with high tables, raised booths and poser tables for those that prefer to stand!  The bar will have much more of a modern feel and will be a great place to meet family and friends.

The lapwing restaurant will be adjacent to the bar area and will be open for Lunch and Dinner.  The new menu (although a surprise at the moment!) will be served every day in this area and the restaurant will open up onto the new look courtyard, perfect for al-fresco dinner and drinks through the warmer months.

The clever part of this room is that we will be able to section off areas, so if you have a special occasion or a small meeting you can have an area of the room all to yourself!
