21 hours per week (3 hours per day, flexibility with hours available)
A lovely opportunity to join our amazing team! The Longlands Inn & Restaurant is a 4* Inn and restaurant with 6 luxury stone-built self-catering cottages and a blend of 11 modern spacious and more traditional cosy rooms. Situated on the Lancashire/Cumbria border, The Longlands Inn is adjacent to Lancaster Canal and Tewitfield Marina providing a wonderful countryside location.
We’re looking for a competent and enthusiastic grounds person who enjoys the outdoors, just like our guests do!
About the role
Duties will involve general gardening and grounds maintenance including grass and hedge cutting, planting, weeding and watering.
To maintain the exterior grounds to the highest standards for our guests including the car-park.
To work between two sites, in maintaining the gardens here at the Longlands Hotel and our sister property, The New Inn, Yealand.
To maintain high standards of health and safety requirements for our guests at all times.
What we’re looking for from you
You’ll have some previous experience of grounds maintenance.
The ability to work as part of a team, and the capability to work on your own.
To demonstrate a commitment to manual outdoor work, which will include manual handling and the use of light gardening machinery (lawnmowers etc.).
A full UK driving license is required as working across two sites within the business.
