The Longlands Inn & Restaurant is a 4* Inn and restaurant with 6 luxury stone-built self-catering cottages and a blend of 11 modern spacious and more traditional cosy rooms. Situated on the Lancashire/Cumbria border, The Longlands Inn is adjacent to Lancaster Canal and Tewitfield Marina providing a wonderful countryside location.
Our restaurant here at The Longlands prides itself on serving locally sourced pub food at its best with approximately 80 covers and an further 50 covers in the bar, with additional outside dining space. A lively country inn, with bags of character, you know there’ll be pressure, but this is a great chance to develop your own skills across the operation and to assist the Hotel Manager in the daily running of this busy hotel and restaurant!
Now with the extra requirements to keep our team and customers safe from risk of COVID 19, this role plays a key part in building customer confidence.
About the role
To act as an ambassador for the Company, setting the example for staff to deliver the highest standards of service and presentation that meets customer and guests' needs and expectations.
To take direct responsibility on shift for supervision of the bar and restaurant, including breakfast, lunch and/or dinner service.
To offer a warm welcome to our guests across all areas, which will include checking guests in on arrival too.
To maintain high standards of health and safety requirements.
What we’re looking for from you
You’ll have previous experience as the supervisory or team leader level and a background in a similar operation.
An eye for quality and consistency in delivering exceptional customer service.
Be comfortable supporting the Hotel Manager in leading the team, constantly striving to improve efficiencies and developing their talents too!
An understanding of health and safety requirements in hospitality business.
Have relevant supervisory qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
The ability to work a variety of shifts with a flexible approach to working hours to suit the needs of the business.
