Duties and Responsibilities

To ensure customers feel welcomed and looked after and exceptional standards of customer service are maintained.
Take responsibility for the service of food and drink to maximize customer experience by anticipating customer needs and responding to customer request positively.
To increase sales and profitability of the Company by attracting customers with positive attitude and providing excellent service.
TEAM BUILDING
Respond to enquiries and requests from colleagues positively to maintain effective and friendly working relationships.
Maintain an environment of support, wellbeing, and openness within your team.
Maintain a good working relationship with other departments within the business to ensure effectiveness.
Participate actively in all organized company training and team building activities.
SALES
Deliver great customer service to win repeat business.
Maximize all inhouse sales opportunities – “single to a double” to “tempting a dessert order”, offering another drink when first one is finished.
Interact with guests displaying good product and company knowledge with enthusiasm.
Ensure our guests always feel welcomed by greeting every customer.
Develop a good knowledge of all food and drinks available in your department, this will enable you to answer any guest queries and promote the sale.
Ensure that your customer bills are correct, and the right amount of change is given.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Ensure all guests always feel welcomed and looked after.
Try to resolve any major issues that arise at the table but communicate all issues to your line manager.
Try to accommodate any special requests in an upbeat and positive manner, liaising with kitchen team and manager on duty.
Make sure service is prompt and you don’t make guests wait longer than necessary, refer to service SOPs
Be flexible in your duties, where necessary to help in any area of the hotel as and when required.
Ensure your attire and presentation are of the agreed uniform standard – first impressions count.
Be meticulous when setting up tables, always ensuring that all items on the table are spotless e.g. glasses polished, cutlery polished, tables wiped properly.
Ensure the standards of table presentation are maintained within service SOPs (e.g providing items required and clearing dirty items away in a timely manor).
Keep all workstations/ bar area immaculate at all times.
LEGISLATION
Ensure compliance to all licensing, data protection, Health & Safety at Work and COSHH legislation, at all times.
Comply with all food hygiene and Fire regulations.
Report and take appropriate action on any non-compliance of process or procedure.
Processes
To take orders / serving at the table in a positive and professional manner
To prepare and serve desserts, beverages, wine, etc. in accordance with SOP Manual
To ensure all menus are in date and clean
To ensure blackboards are in date
To carry out mis-en-place duties: collecting ice, bottling up shelves, collecting requisitions.
To accurately charge guests for items purchased and to give correct change at all times
To ensure all cutlery, crockery and glasses are clean.
To clear tables after consumption of food and beverages and always maintain bar area in presentable state.
To ensure mis-en-place is well stocked and napkins available and folded correctly.
To take food and beverages to tables and follow the customer satisfaction procedure.
To check frequently on guest satisfaction and to communicate all comments to the line manager.
To carry out cleaning of restaurant area and equipment.
To operate EPOS system.

You can simply fill in your details and your booking will be automatically added to our booking system in the restaurant and you will receive an email confirming the time and number of guests.
